In SF4, the central atom is Sulfur (S). Sulfur has five valence electrons and forms four sigma bonds with four Fluorine (F) atoms. In order to form these bonds, the Sulfur atom undergoes sp3 hybridization, resulting in a trigonal bipyramidal molecular geometry.

In I3, the central atom is Iodine (I). Iodine has seven valence electrons and forms three sigma bonds with three Iodine (I) atoms. In order to form these bonds, the Iodine atom undergoes sp3d hybridization, resulting in a linear molecular geometry.

Therefore, the type of hybridization in I3 is different from that in the other three species (SF4), making it the correct answer.
