The balanced chemical equation for the oxidation of ferrous oxalate by MnO4- in acidic medium is as follows:

MnO4- + 5FeC2O4 + 8H+ → Mn2+ + 5Fe2+ + 10CO2 + 4H2O

From the equation, we can see that 1 mole of MnO4- is required to oxidize 5 moles of ferrous oxalate in acidic medium.

Therefore, the number of moles of MnO4- required to oxidize one mole of ferrous oxalate completely in acidic medium will be:

1 mole MnO4- / 5 moles FeC2O4 = 0.2 moles MnO4- / mole FeC2O4
