Difference between french and Russian revolution?
French Revolution vs Russian Revolution French Revolution and Russian Revolution show enormous differences between them when it comes to their results and the way they operated. The French Revolution took place between 1789 and 1799 AD. The Russian revolution took place in 1971 during the World War 1. As a result, the impact of the revolution on Russia was far greater than the impact on France from their revolution. This was simply because Russia was fighting in the world war when all these rebellions started to take place inside the country. The French revolution, on the other hand, was something the country had to go through while France was not engaged in international conflicts.

Difference between French and Russian Revolution

The French Revolution (1789-1799) and the Russian Revolution (1917-1923) were two significant events in history that brought about major political, social, and economic changes. Although both revolutions aimed to overthrow the existing regimes and establish more equitable societies, they differed in many aspects.

Causes:
- French Revolution: The primary causes of the French Revolution can be attributed to the social inequality, economic hardships, and political corruption prevalent in France during the late 18th century. The revolution was fueled by the Enlightenment ideals of liberty, equality, and fraternity.
- Russian Revolution: The Russian Revolution, on the other hand, was primarily driven by socio-economic factors. The widespread poverty, oppressive feudal system, and autocratic rule of Tsar Nicholas II created discontent among the Russian population, especially the working class.

Leadership:
- French Revolution: The French Revolution had influential figures such as Maximilien Robespierre and Napoleon Bonaparte. Robespierre led the radical phase of the revolution, known as the Reign of Terror, while Napoleon rose to power as a military leader and eventually became Emperor.
- Russian Revolution: The Russian Revolution was led by various groups, including the Bolsheviks, led by Vladimir Lenin, and the Mensheviks. Lenin played a pivotal role in the October Revolution, which led to the establishment of a communist government in Russia.

Goals:
- French Revolution: The French Revolution aimed to overthrow the monarchy, eliminate the feudal system, and establish a republic based on the principles of liberty, equality, and fraternity. It also sought to secure political power for the bourgeoisie and provide political rights to all citizens.
- Russian Revolution: The Russian Revolution sought to overthrow the Tsarist autocracy, end the capitalist system, and establish a socialist society based on the principles of Marxism. The revolution aimed to transfer power to the working class and create a stateless, classless society.

Impact:
- French Revolution: The French Revolution had a profound impact not only in France but also across Europe and the world. It brought an end to the monarchy, feudalism, and aristocratic privileges. It paved the way for the rise of nationalism and influenced subsequent revolutionary movements.
- Russian Revolution: The Russian Revolution led to the establishment of the Soviet Union, the world's first socialist state. It brought about significant social and economic changes, including the redistribution of land, nationalization of industries, and the introduction of social welfare programs. However, it also resulted in a totalitarian regime and suppression of political dissent.

Conclusion:
While both the French and Russian Revolutions sought to bring about radical changes in their respective societies, they differed in terms of their causes, leadership, goals, and impact. The French Revolution aimed to establish a republic and secure political rights, while the Russian Revolution aimed to create a socialist society and transfer power to the working class. Understanding the differences between these two revolutions helps to comprehend their unique historical contexts and legacies.
