External diameter of the ring foundation (D2) = 12m

Thickness of the slab (t) = 10 cm = 0.1 m

Solution:

1. Calculation of Volume of RCC slab

The volume of RCC slab can be calculated by subtracting the volume of the inner circle from the volume of the outer circle.

Volume of the outer circle = π/4 x D2² x t

Volume of the inner circle = π/4 x D1² x t

Volume of the RCC slab = π/4 x (D2² - D1²) x t

= π/4 x ((12)² - (8)²) x 0.1

= 1.6 m³

2. Calculation of Cost of RCC used in the slab

Cost of 1 m³ of RCC = Rs. 1000

Cost of 1.6 m³ of RCC = 1000 x 1.6 = Rs. 1600

Therefore, the cost of RCC used in the slab is Rs. 1600.
