- Volume of riser = π(D/2)² x D = πD³/4

Equating Volumes:

- Volume of riser = Volume of shrinkage

- D³ = 0cm³ x 4/π = 0cm³
- D = 0cm

- As D = 0cm, it means the riser has collapsed during solidification.
- Therefore, the height of the riser is 0cm.
