In ΔSTR, By Pythagoras theorem
RT2 = ST2 + RS2
∴ ST2 = 152 - 92 = 144
∴ ST = 12m
In ΔTQP, By Pythagoras theorem
PT2 = TQ2 + PQ2
∴  TQ2 = 152 - 122 = 81
∴ TQ = 9m
Distance between houses = SQ = ST + TQ = 12+9 = 21m
