Total Profit = [P1 + P2 +(P1*P2/100)] 40 = 15 + P2 + (15*P2)
25-p2 = 15P2/100

Profit made by the first dealer:

Profit made by the second dealer:
The first dealer sells the article to the second dealer at a profit of 40%. So, the selling price for the second dealer would be:
Selling price for the second dealer = (115/100)x + (40/100)(115/100)x = (115/100)x + (46/100)x = (161/100)x

Profit made by the second dealer = Selling price for the second dealer - Cost price for the second dealer

Cost price for the second dealer:
The cost price for the second dealer is the selling price of the first dealer. So,
Cost price for the second dealer = Selling price for the first dealer = (115/100)x

Profit made by the second dealer:
Profit made by the second dealer = (161/100)x - (115/100)x
Profit made by the second dealer = (46/100)x

Calculating the percentage profit made by the second dealer:
Percentage profit made by the second dealer = (Profit made by the second dealer / Cost price for the second dealer) * 100
