Verified Answer
A boy bought some bananas at a price of Rs. 60 per dozen. He sold 30 b...
Let the boy bought ‘x’ dozen bananas
Cost price of bananas = 60x
Selling price of bananas = (30/12) × 80 + (x – 30/12) × 56 = 200 + 56x – 140 = 60 + 56x
∵ He had no profit no loss,
⇒ Cost price = Selling price
⇒ 60x = 60 + 56x
⇒ 4x = 60
⇒ x = 15 dozen
∴ The boy bought = 15 × 12 = 180 bananas.
