Sea and Land Breezes, Vehicle and Monsoon Winds, Heating of Gases

Sea and Land Breezes:
Sea and land breezes are caused due to the difference in the heating of land and water. During the day, land heats up faster than water. This results in the air above the land to become hotter and lighter, causing it to rise. The cool air from the sea then moves in to take its place, creating a sea breeze. During the night, the land cools down faster than water, causing the air above it to become cooler and heavier, and sink. The air from the sea then moves towards the land, creating a land breeze.

Vehicle and Monsoon Winds:
When a vehicle moves very fast, it creates a low-pressure area behind it temporarily. This is because the air molecules are pushed apart, creating a vacuum. The surrounding air rushes in to fill this vacuum, creating a high-pressure wave in front of the vehicle and a low-pressure wave behind it.

The monsoon winds in India come from the southwest during the summer months and from the northeast during the winter months. This is because of the difference in the heating of the land and water, causing the air above to rise and create a low-pressure area. The air then moves from the high-pressure areas (oceans) to the low-pressure areas (land), resulting in the monsoon winds.

Heating of Gases:
Upon heating, gases become lighter because of an increase in molecular spaces. When gases are heated, the molecules gain kinetic energy and move faster, causing the space between them to increase. This results in the density of the gas decreasing, making it lighter. The breaking of molecules, on the other hand, would result in a chemical reaction and is not related to the heating of gases.
