Permissible intensity of pressure (p) = 1 N/mm²

To find: Operating force (F)

Formula used:
Permissible intensity of pressure (p) = F/(π/4 × (d2² - d1²))

Calculation:
π/4 × (d2² - d1²) = 3.14/4 × (200² - 100²) = 23562.5 mm²

F = p × π/4 × (d2² - d1²) = 1 × 3.14/4 × (200² - 100²) = 15708 N (approx)
