Internal Forces:

3. Earthquakes: Earthquakes occur when there is a sudden release of energy in the Earth's crust. Earthquakes can result in the formation of new landforms such as fault scarps and rift valleys.

External Forces:
External forces are the forces that act on the Earth's surface and cause changes to the landforms. These forces are primarily driven by weathering and erosion processes.

1. Weathering: Weathering is the process of breaking down rocks into smaller particles by physical, chemical, and biological means. Physical weathering includes processes such as freeze-thaw action, where water seeps into cracks in rocks, freezes, and expands, causing the rock to break apart. Chemical weathering involves the alteration of rock minerals through chemical reactions. Biological weathering is caused by the actions of plants and animals.

2. Erosion: Erosion is the process of transporting weathered material from one place to another. It is primarily carried out by water, wind, and ice. Water erosion occurs through the action of rivers, streams, and waves. Wind erosion occurs when wind picks up and transports loose particles, leading to the formation of features such as sand dunes. Glacial erosion occurs when glaciers move and carry away large amounts of sediment.

3. Deposition: Deposition is the process of laying down sediment that has been eroded and transported by external forces. Deposition occurs when the energy of the transporting agent decreases, causing it to drop the sediment it was carrying. This can result in the formation of landforms such as deltas, beaches, and alluvial plains.
