Given: Mean of first three terms = 14
Mean of next two terms = 18
Let the first three terms be a, b, c.
Let the next two terms be d and e.
Finding the Sum of first three terms:
Mean of first three terms = (a + b + c) / 3 = 14
Therefore, a + b + c = 42
Finding the Sum of next two terms:
Mean of next two terms = (d + e) / 2 = 18
Therefore, d + e = 36
Finding the Mean of all five terms:
Mean of all five terms = (a + b + c + d + e) / 5
Substituting the values of a+b+c and d+e, we get:
Mean of all five terms = (42 + 36) / 5
Mean of all five terms = 78 / 5
Mean of all five terms = 15.6
Therefore, the mean of all five terms is 15.6.
