Verified Answer
Each question is followed by two statements, I and II. Answer each que...
For every additional hour post the standard workday, the employee is paid 1.5 * 60 i.e. Rs. 90
Using Statement I alone:
Since the earnings of yesterday or the number of hours worked yesterday are not known, the number of hours worked today cannot be found.
Thus, the question cannot be answered using statement I alone.
Using Statement II alone:
Since no data pertaining to today has been given, the number of hours worked today cannot be found. Thus, the question cannot be answered using statement II alone.
Using Statements I and II together.
Since the employee worked for the complete duration of the workday yesterday, the additional amount earned today is due to the extra hours worked.
Number of extra hours = 180/90 = 2
Hence, the total number of hours worked can be found.
Thus, the question can be answered using both the statements together but not by using either statement alone.
Hence, option 4.
