Group QuestionAnswer the following question based on the information g...
Given Information:
- Two doctors, two engineers, two lawyers, and two professors are to be seated around a circular table.
- Four of them are female and four are male.
- Rule 1: No two people of the same profession will sit next to each other.
- Rule 2: No two people of the same gender will sit next to each other.

Seating Arrangement:
- There is a male professor who sits between a doctor and an engineer and right opposite to a lawyer.
- There is a male doctor who sits third to the right of another doctor who is a female.

Solution:
To solve this question, let's analyze the given information and seating arrangement step by step.

Step 1:
According to the given information, there is a male professor who sits between a doctor and an engineer and right opposite to a lawyer. Let's denote the seating arrangement as follows:

Lawyer - ? - ? - Professor - ? - Engineer - ? - ? - Doctor

Step 2:
According to Rule 1, no two people of the same profession will sit next to each other. So, the professor cannot be seated next to another professor, the doctor cannot be seated next to another doctor, the engineer cannot be seated next to another engineer, and the lawyer cannot be seated next to another lawyer.

Step 3:
According to Rule 2, no two people of the same gender will sit next to each other. Since there are four males and four females, we need to ensure that males and females are seated alternately.

Step 4:
There is a male doctor who sits third to the right of another doctor who is a female. Let's denote this information in the seating arrangement:

Lawyer - ? - ? - Professor - ? - Engineer - ? - Female Doctor - Male Doctor

Step 5:
Now, let's fill in the remaining seats while following Rule 1 and Rule 2:

Lawyer - Male Engineer - Female Professor - Male Professor - Female Engineer - Male Lawyer - Female Doctor - Male Doctor

Step 6:
Now, let's identify the pairs having the same profession and the same gender:

- Pair 1: Female Doctor - Male Doctor
- Pair 2: Female Engineer - Male Engineer

Therefore, there are two pairs having the same profession and the same gender.
