Latitudinal Extent of India
India lies between 8° 4' N to 37° 6' N latitudes.
Implications
The latitudinal extent of India has several implications:
1. Diversity of Climate: Due to its vast latitudinal extent, India experiences a wide range of climatic conditions, ranging from tropical in the south to temperate and alpine in the north. This diversity in climate has a significant impact on agriculture, tourism, and other economic activities.
2. Biodiversity: India's diverse climatic conditions have also resulted in a rich biodiversity, with a variety of flora and fauna found across the country. This has made India a popular destination for wildlife enthusiasts and nature lovers.
3. Cultural Diversity: The latitudinal extent of India has also contributed to the country's cultural diversity, with different regions having their own unique traditions, languages, and cuisines.
4. Time Difference: India spans over 29 degrees of longitude, which results in a time difference of almost two hours between its easternmost and westernmost points.
5. Coastal Regions: India's latitudinal extent also gives it a long coastline of over 7,500 km, which has played a significant role in the country's trade and commerce.
In conclusion, India's latitudinal extent has several implications on its climate, biodiversity, culture, time difference, and coastal regions. It is one of the factors that contribute to the country's unique identity and diversity.

India lies between latitudes 8'4N and 37'6'N and longitudes 67'8'E and 97'25'E. The latitudinal and longitudinal extent is same i.e.30 degree. the latitudinal extent influences the day and night as one moves from south to north.its implications are that the duration of day and night in the southern parts are less hotter than northern parts as the rays of the sun are slanting at northern parts of the country and vertical at southern parts due to which it is the duration varies. for example the duration of day and night is 12 hours day and 12 hours night at Kanyakumari whereas duration of day and night is less in Jammu and Kashmir than Kanyakumari. Thus, these are the implications of latitudinal extent of India.
