Verified Answer
Each question is followed by two statements, A and B. Answer each ques...
[{(C.P. + 800) - 600} - C.P.] = 2[C.P. - {(C.P + 600) - 700}]
As we cannot find C.P. we cannot determine the mark up percentage.
Statement A alone is not sufficient.
Consider statement B alone:
M.P = C.P. x 1.8
S.P = C.P. x 1.2
As M.P and S.P are known in terms of C.P, we can find the relation between M.P and S.P. and hence the discount percentage.
Statement B alone is sufficient.
Hence, option 2
