Particles are continuously moving due to the energy possessed by the virtue the particles of the matter which is known as Kinetic energy.
Particles have large intermolecular spaces between them which varies in different states of matter that are solid, liquid and gas.
Particles have a force which binds them together is known as intermolecular force of attraction which depends on the intermolecular space between the particles. It varies in different states of matter that are solid , liquid and gas.
Thus, these are the three characteristics of particles of matter.
