Organelle other than nucleus, containing DNA isa)endoplasmic reticulum...
The correct answer is option 'C', which is mitochondria.

Explanation:

Mitochondria are known as the powerhouse of the cell because they produce energy in the form of ATP through cellular respiration. They are double-membrane-bound organelles that are found in most eukaryotic cells.

One of the unique features of mitochondria is that they contain their own DNA, which is separate from the nuclear DNA. This mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) is circular in shape and is present in the mitochondrial matrix.

The presence of mtDNA allows mitochondria to replicate independently of the cell nucleus and is passed on from generation to generation through the maternal line. Mutations in mtDNA can lead to mitochondrial diseases, which affect the energy production of the cell.

In summary, mitochondria are the organelles other than the nucleus that contain DNA, specifically mtDNA in their matrix.
