The participants in a race consisted of 3 teams with 3 runners on each...
We need to find the total number of points awarded to the teams in the race.

There are 3 teams, each with 3 runners. So, there are a total of 9 runners in the race.

Let's consider the points awarded for each position:

1st place: 9Mn points (awarded to the runner who finishes first)
2nd place: 7Mn points (awarded to the runner who finishes second)
3rd place: 5Mn points (awarded to the runner who finishes third)

Now, let's see how many points each team can potentially earn:

If one of a team's runners finishes in 1st place, the team earns 6Mn points.
If one of a team's runners finishes in 2nd place, the team earns 6Mn points.
If one of a team's runners finishes in 3rd place, the team earns 6Mn points.

Since there are 3 teams, each team can potentially earn a maximum of 18Mn points (6Mn points for each position).

Let's consider the different scenarios:

Scenario 1: One team has all three runners finish in the top 3 positions.
In this scenario, the team earns a total of 18Mn points, and the other two teams earn 0 points each. So, the total number of points awarded in this scenario is 18Mn.

Scenario 2: Each team has one runner finish in the top 3 positions.
In this scenario, each team earns a total of 6Mn points, and the total number of points awarded is 18Mn (6Mn for each team).

Scenario 3: Two teams have one runner finish in the top 3 positions, and one team has no runners in the top 3.
In this scenario, the two teams with runners in the top 3 each earn 6Mn points, and the team with no runners in the top 3 earns 0 points. So, the total number of points awarded in this scenario is 12Mn.

Scenario 4: All three teams have no runners in the top 3 positions.
In this scenario, each team earns 0 points, and the total number of points awarded is 0.

So, the total number of points awarded in all possible scenarios is 18Mn + 18Mn + 12Mn + 0 = 48Mn.

Therefore, the answer is 48Mn.
