    In 1 L saturated solution of AgCl [Ksp(AgCl) = 1.6 x 10-10], 0.1 mol o...
    X is:

    AgCl ⇌ Ag+ + Cl-
    Ksp = [Ag+][Cl-] = 1.6 x 10^-10

    CuCl ⇌ Cu+ + Cl-
    Ksp = [Cu+][Cl-] = 1.0 x 10^-6

    Initially, the solution is saturated with AgCl, so [Ag+] = [Cl-] = sqrt(Ksp) = sqrt(1.6 x 10^-10) = 1.26 x 10^-5 M.

    When 0.1 mol of CuCl is added, it dissociates completely to form 0.1 mol of Cu+ and 0.1 mol of Cl-. Since CuCl has a higher Ksp than AgCl, it will not significantly affect the concentration of Ag+ or Cl- in the solution.

    The final concentration of Ag+ is still 1.26 x 10^-5 M, so the value of x in 1.6 x 10^-x is 5.
