Dimensional analysis of R/L

Resistance is defined as the opposition to the flow of electric current. It is measured in Ohms (Ω) and has the dimensions of voltage per unit current or V/A.

Self inductance is defined as the ability of a current-carrying conductor to induce a voltage in itself. It is measured in Henries (H) and has the dimensions of voltage per unit current per unit time or V/(A·s).

Therefore, the dimensions of R/L are (V/A)/(V/(A·s)) = s^-1 or 1/T, which is the same as the dimensions of frequency.
