- Share capital is divided into equity shares of Rs 10 each
- B Ltd. issued 9,00,000 equity shares to the general public at par

- Face value of each equity share = Rs 10
- Total amount collected on issue of shares = 8,50,000 x Rs 10 = Rs 85,00,000
- Amount payable on each share = Rs 3 on application + Rs 3 on allotment + Rs 2 on first call = Rs 8
- Total amount payable on 8,50,000 shares = 8,50,000 x Rs 8 = Rs 68,00,000
- Amount paid up by all shareholders except Mr. C = 8,49,975 x Rs 8 = Rs 67,99,800
