Mehta, the cousin of Sir Purshottam Das Thakur Das. He also bought tea estates and started cement and fertiliser factories. He established a new style of management. In his birth place Pilani, and at many other places he started many educational institutions. To his credit go many temples, planetariums and hospitals. In 1983, he died while in London, but not before seeing his businessflourishas one of the topmost establishments in India.
