Rajendra Chola was the son of the great Chola king Raja Raja. He was known as the Gangaikonda or the one who conquered Ganga. He established a good administration like his father and made a place called Gangaikondacholapuram,and made a temple,Gangaikondacholapuram temple near the Brihdeshwara temple that was made by his father Raja Raja Chola.
