Most Upvoted Answer
Pawan bought 16 bananas and 8 apples. If he pays Rs.4 for each banana ...
Given:
Number of bananas bought = 16
Cost of one banana = Rs.4
Total cost of bananas = 16 x 4 = Rs.64

Number of apples bought = 8
Cost of one apple = Rs.7
Total cost of apples = 8 x 7 = Rs.56

To find: For which fruit did he pay more and by how much?

Calculation:
Comparing the total cost of bananas and apples, we can see that Pawan paid more for bananas.

Difference in cost = Total cost of bananas - Total cost of apples
= Rs.64 - Rs.56
= Rs.8

Therefore, Pawan paid more for bananas by Rs.8.

Hence, the correct option is (d) Banana Rs.8.
