Construct the figure
  • From the second statement it is clear that F and A are sitting opposite to each other and F is to the immediate right of B.
  • The sitting arrangement can be like this
  • Prom the third statement it is clear that D is sitting between A and B and is opposite to C. The sitting arrangement can be like this
  • There is only one vacant position for E, so the overall sitting arrangement will be like this

Direction:(i) Six friends A, B, C, D, E and F are sitting along the s...
Given Information:
- Six friends A, B, C, D, E, and F are sitting along the sides of a hexagonal table for playing a game.
- F, who is sitting exactly opposite of A, is to the immediate right of B.
- D is between A and B and is exactly opposite to C.

To find:
A is sitting between which of the following pairs of persons.

Solution:

Step 1: Understanding the given information

- We have a hexagonal table with six friends A, B, C, D, E, and F seated around it.
- F is sitting exactly opposite to A.
- F is to the immediate right of B.
- D is between A and B.
- D is exactly opposite to C.

Step 2: Analyzing the given information

- From the information that F is sitting exactly opposite to A, we can conclude that they are facing each other across the table.
- From the information that F is to the immediate right of B, we can conclude that B is sitting to the left of F.
- From the information that D is between A and B and exactly opposite to C, we can conclude that A and C are not sitting next to each other, and D is sitting between them.

Step 3: Applying the above conclusions to find the answer

- Since D is sitting between A and B, the possible positions of A and B are AD and DB or DA and BA.
- Since F is sitting to the immediate right of B, if we assume DA and BA as the positions of A and B, it would violate the condition that F is to the immediate right of B. Therefore, we can conclude that the positions of A and B are AD and DB.
- Since A and B are seated opposite to each other, the only possible position for F is AF.
- Since C is exactly opposite to D, the only possible position for C is CF.
- Now, the remaining position is E, which must be opposite to itself. This is not possible.
- Therefore, the only valid positions are AD, DB, AF, CF, and the answer is A is sitting between D and E.

Answer:
A is sitting between D and E. (Option A)
