In two hours, the first train is 2 x 65 kms i.e, 130 kms ahead of the second train The second train moves 10 kms faster so it will meet the first train in (130 ÷ 10)
i.e.. 13 hours
∴ Distance travelled by the second train = 13 x 75 km = 975 km
Therefore after 975 km both train will meet.

A train traveling at 65 kmph leaves Mumbai at 10 A.M. and another train travelling at 75 kmph starts at 12 Noon in the same direction. How many k.m. away from Mumbai will they be together?

Solution:

Let the distance between Mumbai and the point where both the trains meet be 'x' km.

Time taken by the first train to cover the distance 'x' at 65 kmph = x/65

The first train starts at 10 A.M. and travels for (x/65) hours before the second train starts.

Time taken by the second train to cover the same distance 'x' at 75 kmph = x/75

The second train starts at 12 Noon and travels for (x/75) hours until it meets the first train.

Total time taken by the first train = x/65

Total time taken by the second train = x/75 - 2

Since both the trains meet at the same point, the total time taken by both the trains should be equal.

Therefore, x/65 = x/75 - 2

Solving the above equation, we get x = 975 km.

Therefore, the distance between Mumbai and the point where both the trains meet is 975 km.
