Directions: Read the following information carefully and answer the q...
Grapes were placed in a box that was at a gap of 4 from the red box.
Red box had a box number that was thrice as that of the box that had an apple. Possible combinations will be (1, 3) (2, 6) or (3, 9)
Apple and Plum were kept in consecutive boxes
Or
Or
Oranges were kept in a box that was 5 boxes above the box with pineapple. Pineapple was not kept in the lowest box
The golden box was just below the box with oranges
Grapes were not kept in the white or golden box
Black box was exactly between (neighbouring) the pink box and the box with pineapple i.e. they were kept in consecutive manner
Case 1:
Only 2 fruits were kept above the white box, but as the grapes were not in the white box, the case became invalid.
Case 2:
Or
Case 3:
This case is invalid as the box containing pineapple cannot be placed in the arrangement.
• The yellow box was empty
• Only 2 fruits were kept above the white box. This means that the white box is box number 7 or 8. In case it is 7, the vacant box will be above it
• Papaya was at a gap of 2 boxes from the empty box.
Or
• Peach was kept in the green box and it was at a gap of 2 from the box containing the banana. Thus, the 1st scenario given above becomes invalid.
