Directions [Set of 5 questions]: Eight persons A, B, C, D, E, F, G and H were seated around a square table facing the centre. There was one person at each corner and one person along every side.   • The difference between the numbers chosen by C and E was 8. Thus, C could have chosen 20, 36, 28, 44. The only valid values are 36, 28.
  • C chose a number that was twice as that of the number chosen by A. A could have chosen 18 or 14.
