Area of larger circle=144π.
Since area= πr2, then
πr2=144π,
r2=144; r=12; radius of larger circle=12, diameter of smaller circle=12
radius of smaller circle =6
Area of smaller circle =πr2= π(6)2=36π. Hence, option is (b).

R. = 12 = diameter of small circle

then radius of small circle 6 = D/2
