Once upon a time, there was a foolish Crown who found a piece of bread and felt very greedy. So instead of keeping it to himself, he decided to give it away as an offering to whomever can show the most beautiful body and the sweetest voice.
Just then, a clever fox came by and said, “if you can praise my beautiful body and sweet voice then I should have that piece of bread.” The foolish Crown agreed and began praising the fox for its beautiful body and sweet voice. Meanwhile, the fox opened its mouth to receive the piece of bread but, just then, the piece of bread fell out of the crown’s hands and onto the ground.
The fox was very disappointed and scolded the foolish Crown for being so careless, but then it thanked the Crown for the thoughtfulness and picked up the piece of bread. From then on, the fox always remembered this incident and used its wit whenever it was hungry.
