She made for a taxi waiting at the curb, and in her haste, three ` 1,000 notes fluttered from her handbag to the footpath beside Amita’s feet.Amita bent to pick up the notes to return them to the woman, but before she could do that, Bina stepped on the notes, hiding them from view.
