Statement: In city Z, people prefer to buy car X instead of car Y as car X has German technology which is very advanced.

Assumption I: Cars with German technology are perceived to be better than other cars in city Z.
Assumption II: Had German technology been present in car Y also, its sales would have crossed car X's sale.

The given statement talks about the preference of people in city Z for car X over car Y. Let's analyze the given assumptions:

Assumption I: Cars with German technology are perceived to be better than other cars in city Z.

This assumption can be considered implicit in the statement. The statement clearly mentions that people in city Z prefer car X over car Y because car X has German technology which is very advanced. This implies that people in city Z perceive cars with German technology to be better than other cars. Therefore, assumption I is implicit.

Assumption II: Had German technology been present in car Y also, its sales would have crossed car X's sale.

This assumption cannot be considered implicit in the statement. The statement only mentions that people prefer car X over car Y because car X has German technology which is very advanced. It does not provide any information or hint about the sales potential of car Y if it had German technology. Therefore, assumption II is not implicit.

Hence, the correct answer is option 'A' - If only assumption I is implicit.

It is clear that car with German technology are perceived to be better than car Y. That's why people prefer to buy car X. So, I is implicit in the statement. We can not say anything about car X to cross the sales of car Y. So, II is not implicit in the statement.
