Statement: Most of the private companies have decided against awarding annual increase in the salaries of their employees for the previous year due to current economic situations.

Assumption I: Majority of the employees may leave their job to protest against the decision.

This assumption is not implicit in the statement. The statement only talks about the decision made by private companies to not award annual salary increases. It does not provide any information about the reaction of employees or their likelihood of leaving their jobs due to this decision. Therefore, assumption I cannot be considered implicit in the statement.

Assumption II: These companies may announce a hike in salaries next year.

This assumption is also not implicit in the statement. The statement only mentions that private companies have decided against awarding annual salary increases for the previous year. It does not provide any information about the future plans of these companies regarding salary hikes. Therefore, assumption II cannot be considered implicit in the statement.

Conclusion:

Neither assumption I nor assumption II is implicit in the statement. The statement only provides information about the current decision of private companies to not award annual salary increases, without any indication of the employees' reactions or the companies' future plans. Hence, the correct answer is option D - neither assumption I nor assumption II is implicit.

Because of the economic crisis, companies have decided against awarding annual increase, which is a valid decision. Hence assumption I is not implicit
It cannot be assumed that companies will announce hike next year because hike in salaries depends on economic conditions, which is uncertain.
