Given: 3x² + 5x + 6 is the duplicate ratio of 2/3.
Duplicate ratio of 2/3 means, (2x)² : 3² = 4 : 9
So, we can write, 3x² + 5x + 6 = (2x)² × 4/9
On solving this equation, we get,
3x² + 5x + 6 = 16x²/9
27x² - 45x - 54 = 0
On solving this quadratic equation, we get,
x = 2 or -3/9
But, x can't be negative, as it will make the value of 3x² + 5x + 6 negative, which is not possible for a ratio.
Therefore, the value of x is 2.
Hence, the solution is x = 2.
