Calculation:
Let the radius and height of the cylinder be r and h respectively,
Total surface area = 231 cm2,
⇒ 2πr(r + h) = 231      ----(1)
Curved surface area is 2/3 of the total surface area,
⇒ 2πrh = 2/3 × 2πr(r + h)
⇒ h = 2r      ----(2)
From equation 1 and 2,
⇒ h = 7 cm and r = 7/2 cm
Volume of Cylinder = πr2h
⇒ Volume of cylinder = 539/2 cm3
∴ The volume of cylinder is 539/2 cm3
