Define 1 newton ?
One newton (N) is the unit of force in the International System of Units (SI). It is defined as the force required to accelerate a mass of one kilogram at a rate of one meter per second squared.
In other words, one newton is the amount of force needed to give a mass of one kilogram an acceleration of one meter per second per second. This unit is named after the scientist Sir Isaac Newton, who is known for his laws of motion and his contributions to the study of classical mechanics.
One newton is a relatively small unit of force. It is about equal to the weight of a small apple (approximately 100 grams) at the surface of the Earth. However, larger forces, such as those involved in lifting heavy objects or in the operation of machines, are often measured in units of hundreds or thousands of newtons.
