The given number series is 2.5, 1.25, ?, 1.875, 3.75

We can observe that the given series is decreasing for the first two terms and then it starts increasing.

Let's find out the pattern of the given series.

The first term is 2.5.

The second term is half of the first term. i.e., 2.5/2 = 1.25.

The third term is half of the second term. i.e., 1.25/2 = 0.625.

The fourth term is the sum of the second and third terms divided by 2. i.e., (1.25+0.625)/2 = 1.875.

The fifth term is the sum of the third and fourth terms. i.e., 0.625+1.875 = 2.5.

Hence, the pattern of the given series is:

- Start with 2.5
- Divide each term by 2
- Add the previous two terms and divide by 2

Using this pattern, we can find the missing term.

The third term will be the sum of the second and third terms divided by 2.

So, the third term = (1.25+0.625)/2 = 0.9375.

Hence, the missing term in the given series is 0.9375.

Therefore, option D) 1.25 is the correct answer.
