Eight persons – A, B, C, D, E, F, G, and H are from the same family of three generations. They are of different age groups. The age of the husband is more than the age of the wife. Only two married couples are there in the family.

Based on the above given information we have:
Order of Age:

Again, we have:

Given Ages:
- The age of the second eldest person is 54 years.
- The person immediately elder than C is 36 years old.

Solution:
- Let's assume the age of A as x years.
- As the age difference between A and D is 7 years, the age of D will be x + 7 years.

Calculating Ages:
- As the second eldest person is 54 years old, let's assign this age to G.
- So, G is 54 years old.
- As G is the wife of C’s father, C’s father is the second eldest and 54 years old.
- As C's father is 54 years old, C is 36 years old.
- Since E is elder than C, E is more than 36 years old.
- Since G is elder than E, G is more than the age of E.
- Therefore, the possible age difference between G and E is 14 years (54 - 40 = 14).

Conclusion:
- The possible age difference between G and E is 14 years.
