Given below are three statements.A. Statement 1 – Solution for 2m2 + ...
2m2 + 7m - 30 = 0
2m2 + 12m - 5m - 30 = 0
2m(m + 6) - 5(m + 6) = 0
x = 5/2, m = -6
So, statement 1 is correct.
Statement 2:
m2 + 10m + 16 = 0
m2 + 8m + 2m + 16 = 0
m(m + 8) + 2(m + 8) = 0
m = -2, -8
This equation has negative roots.
So, statement 2 is correct.
Statement 3:
m2 + 6m + 5 = 0
m2 + 5m + 1m + 5 = 0
m(m + 5) + 1(m + 5) = 0
m = -1, -5
So, statement 3 is incorrect.
