Most Upvoted Answer
A man goes seven kilometers straight eastwards, then turns right and ...
Solution:

The man moves in three directions i.e. east, north and west. We need to find out the direction from the starting point.

Let's assume the starting point as O.

He moves 7 km towards the right direction from O and reaches point A.
He then moves 3 km towards the north direction from A and reaches point B.
He finally moves 10 km towards the left direction from B and reaches point C.

Now, let's draw a diagram to understand it better.

C

A--------B
7km 10km
(E) (W)
O

From the diagram, we can see that point C is towards the southwest direction from point O. Therefore, the correct answer is option 'A' i.e. southwest.

Hence, the man is in the southwest direction from the starting point.
