Solution :
The first three natural numbers are 1, 2, 3
Choosing two different numbers are (1, 2), (2, 3), (1, 3)
⇒ Total number of outcomes = 3
One of the numbers be maximum of three are (2, 3), (1, 3)
⇒ Required numbers of outcomes = 2
⇒ P (numbers to be maximum of three) = 2/3
∴ the probability of one of the numbers to be maximum of three is 2/3 .
