Different numbers of books are distributed in 4 different schools A, B, C and D in two different days Monday and Tuesday. Books are distributed in such a way that, only those students get books on Tuesday, who were absent on Monday and all the students, who were absent on Monday, were present on Tuesday. It is also known that, not all but some of those students, who were present on Monday, were also present on Tuesday, but did not receive books on Tuesday.

Total number of books distributed in a school = Number of books, distributed on Monday + Number of books, distributed on Tuesday
Number of books distributed in a school on Monday = Number of students, who were present on Monday
Number of books, distributed in a school on Tuesday = Number of students, who were present on Tuesday – Number of students, who did not receive books on Tueday
The students, who did not receive books on Tuesday, are those, who were also present on Monday.

School A:
Let number of students, who were present on Monday and Tuesday are ‘6a’ and ‘5a’ respectively.
So, number of students, who did not receive books on Tue = 5a – 50
6a/ (5a – 50) = 9/5
6a = 9a – 90
a = 30
Number of books distributed on Mon = 6 x 30 = 180
Number of students, who were present on Tue = 5 x 30 = 150
Number of students, who did not receive books on Tue = 150 – 50 = 100
School B:
Let number of students, who were present on Mon and Tue are ‘b’ and ‘b’ respectively.
So, number of students, who did not receive books on Tue = b – 40
b/ (b – 40) = 5/4
4b = 5b – 200
b = 200
Number of books distributed on Mon = 200
Number of students, who were present on Tue = 200
Number of students, who did not receive books on Tue = 200 – 40 = 160
School C:
Let number of students, who were present on Mon and Tue are ‘5c’ and ‘4c’ respectively.
So, number of students, who did not receive books on Tue = 4c – 30
5c/ (4c – 30) = 5/3
3c = 4c – 30
c = 30
Number of books distributed on Mon = 5 x 30 = 150
Number of students, who were present on Tue = 4 x 30 = 120
Number of students, who did not receive books on Tue = 120 – 30 = 90
School D:
Let number of students, who were present on Mon and Tue are ‘4d’ and ‘5d’ respectively.
So, number of students, who did not receive books on Tue = 5d – 80
4d/ (5d – 80) = 4/3
3d = 5d – 80
d = 40
Number of books distributed on Mon = 4 x 40 = 160
Number of students, who were present on Tue = 5 x 40 = 200
Number of students, who did not receive books on Tue = 200 – 80 = 120
Number of students, who were present on Tue in school B = 200
Number of students, who did not receive books on Tue in school B = 160
Number of students, who were present on Tue in school D = 200
Number of students, who did not receive books on Tue in school D = 120
Required percentage = [(160 + 120)/ (200 + 200)] x 100 = 70%
