Read the following information carefully and answer the questions based on it.
The following chart shows the price of a share of a company ABC in 5 different days of a week. The ceiling and floor of the line depicts the high and Low price(in Rs.) respectively of a share through the week. The ceiling and floor of box depicts closing price and opening price respectively. The buying and selling of shares is done on a trading platform which charge a particular fees depending on number of share sold or bought.
If the amount of share bought or sold is less than 40, a charge of 10% extra has paid while buying and while selling 10% of earning is deducted. For transaction of 40 or more shares the same rule apply but the rate is 5%.
Arun bought some shares on day 1 at low price and sold 40% of share on day 2 at opening price, rest share sold on day 4 at closing price, thereby making profit of 868320 rupees. Find the number of shares bought on day 1, if number of shares he sold on day 4 are greater than 40?

Answer: B
Arun sold more than 40 shares on day 4 so he bought more than 40 shares on day 1
Let the number of shares bought by Arun = 5a (more than 40)
Money invested by Arun = 5a x 4800 x 105% = 25200a
Money received by Arun = 40% x 5a x 10400 x 90% + 60% x 5a x 19200 x 95% = 73440a
Now,
73440a – 25200a = 868320
So value of a = 868320/48240 = 18
Required number of shares = 5 x 18 = 90
Hence answer is option B
