The given complex is [E(en)2C2O4]NO2.

Coordination number:
The coordination number is the number of ligands attached to the central metal ion. Here, the ligands are en and C2O4. Each en molecule has two nitrogen atoms available for coordination. The oxalate ion (C2O4) has two oxygen atoms available for coordination.

Therefore, the total number of coordination sites available for E is 4 from en and 2 from C2O4, giving a total coordination number of 6.

Oxidation state:
The oxidation state of E can be determined by considering the oxidation states of the other atoms in the complex. The oxidation state of NO2 is -1. The oxidation state of C2O4 is -2. Each nitrogen atom in en has an oxidation state of -3. Therefore, the total oxidation state contributed by the ligands is -10.

The overall charge of the complex is 0, which means the sum of the oxidation states of all the atoms in the complex must be 0.

Let x be the oxidation state of E. Then,

x + (-10) + (-1) = 0
x - 11 = 0
x = +11

Therefore, the oxidation state of E is +3.
