For A, number of questions attempted = 80
Number of right questions = 40
Number of wrong questions = 40
Total marks obtained by A = 4 × (Number of right questions) - 1 × (Number of wrong questions)
= 4 × 40 - 1 × 40 = 160 - 40 = 120
For B, number of questions attempted = 60
Number of right questions = 48
Number of wrong questions = 12
Total marks obtained by B = 4 × (Number of right questions) - 1 × (Number of wrong questions)
= 4 × 48 - 1 × 12 = 192 - 12 = 180
