Why we cannot see WBC while our blood comes out?

WBC is colorless under a microscope unless they are stained. But when they are stacked together, they take on an off whitish color. When you pick a zit, it’s not colorless. The idea of White blood cells comes from chronic leukemias where the white count gets very high. When the anticoagulated tubes settle, there is a very BIG layer of white cells (buffy coat) on top of the red cells. Picking a bugger is yellow green. Hacking a lunger is clear with white streaks. White cells close together do appear to be colored.
