Important point This campaign will not only help in ending land disputes but will also curb the irresponsible behaviour of the Lekhpal (Revenue Officer) who is not generally interested in these matters. Under the Varasat Abhiyan, there is both an online and offline facility for lodging complaints. If your land is in the village and you are living elsewhere then a counter has also been opened for you at every tehsil level. The government has released helpline number 0522-2620477 for this campaign.
- Why it is started?
- The cases related to land disputes are the highest on Tehsil Day in every district of the state.
- Many cases related to the land dispute are also recorded in police statistics.

- Lekhpal will investigate -
- In respect of the cases filed or applications received, the Lekhpal himself will place his clear inquiry report on the portal regarding the names and details of the legal heirs after terrestrial and archival investigation.
- If a wrong statement is mentioned in the Varasat and the Lekhpal disagrees with it, then his reason has to be clearly mentioned.
- The Lekhpal will send his data online to the Revenue Inspector in five working days, giving clear reasons for the dispute.
- If the Lekhpal agrees, pressing the consent button will forward his point-wise report to the Revenue Inspector.
