Present age of the daughter = 10 years
Father present age = mother's age + 7
The mother's age at present = 3 times the age of the daughter
⇒ Age of mother at present = 3 x 10 years = 30 years .
⇒ Age of father at present = 30 + 7 years = 37 years.
∴ The present age of father = 37 years old.
Now, the age of father when daughter was born = Age of father 10 years ago
⇒ 37 years - 27 years = 27 years
∴ The age of father when daughter was born = 27 years.
Hence, option(1) is the correct answer.
Present age of the daughter = 10 years
Father present age = mother's age + 7
The mother's age at present = 3 times the age of the daughter
⇒ Age of mother at present = 3 x 10 years = 30 years .
⇒ Age of father at present = 30 + 7 years = 37 years.
∴ The present age of father = 37 years old.
Now, the age of father when daughter was born = Age of father 10 years ago
⇒ 37 years - 27 years = 27 years
