Introduction:

- Candidates with a Master's degree in any branch of science or Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Applications are also eligible to apply for the GATE exam.
- Candidates who have completed their degree in any branch of Engineering or Technology can appear for the exam in their respective discipline.
- Candidates with qualifications obtained through examinations conducted by professional societies recognized by MHRD/AICTE/UPSC as equivalent to B.E./B.Tech are also eligible.
